چکیده

Let q be a power of a prime, l a prime not dividing q, d a positive integer coprime to both l and the multiplicative order of q mod l and n a positive integer. A. Watanabe proved that there is a perfect isometry between the principal l−blocks of GLn(q) and GLn(q ) where the correspondence of characters is give by Shintani descent. In the same paper Watanabe also prove that if l and q are odd and l does not divide |GLn(q 2)|/|Un(q)| then there is a perfect isometry between the principal l−blocks of Un(q) and GLn(q ) with the correspondence of characters also given by Shintani descent. R. Kessar extended this first result to all unipotent blocks of GLn(q) and GLn(q ). In this paper we extend this second result to all unipotent blocks of Un(q) and GLn(q ). In particular this proves that any two unipotent blocks of Un(q) at unitary primes (for possibly different n) with the same weight are perfectly isometric. We also prove that this perfect isometry commutes with Deligne-Lusztig induction at the level of characters.

Degree Graphs of Simple Linear and Unitary Groups

Let G be a finite group and let cd(G) be the set of irreducible character degrees of G. The degree graph ∆(G) is the graph whose set of vertices is the set of primes that divide degrees in cd(G), with an edge between p and q if pq divides a for some degree a ∈ cd(G). We determine the graph ∆(G) for the finite simple groups of types A`(q) and A`(q ), that is, for the simple linear and unitary gr...

On Crdaha and Finite General Linear and Unitary Groups

We show a connection between Lusztig induction operators in finite general linear and unitary groups and parabolic induction in cyclotomic rational double affine Hecke algebras. Two applications are given: an explanation of a bijection result of Broué, Malle and Michel, and some results on modular decomposition numbers of finite general groups. 2010 AMS Subject Classification: 20C33 Dedicated t...

Behavior of $R$-groups for $p$-adic inner forms of quasi-split special unitary groups
